Why Have Counselling ?

We all need help with aspects of our lives at various times. For instance:

- Are you over-stressed from the fast paced world we live in today ?

- Would you like somebody to help you cope emotionally with a crisis ?

- Are you feeling abandoned, rejected, or a sense of loss ?

- Are you hostile towards yourself or others ? Do you get angry or violent ?

- Does anxiety and fear haunt you in your normal life, and hinder your aspirations and ambitions ?

- Is there some issue in your life that is just too complex to try and resolve on your own ?

- Are you trying to resolve a breakdown in communications in a relationship ?

- Are you locked into a downward cycle of depression that you just don’t seem to be able to break out of ?

- Do you want to find alternative ways of handling your behaviour, thoughts and emotions ?

- Would you like somebody to really listen to you, and try to understand who you are, where you are, and where you are coming from ?

Many people would be able to answer “Yes” to at least some of the above. Other issues might also come to light from the above examples that could also be discussed and resolved. By being neutral, independant and non-judgemental, a counsellor can help by providing an ideal forum for these issues to be discussed and resolved in comfort, and in confidence.

Most experienced counsellors offer a free first consultation, which could give you the opportunity to judge whether counselling may be able to help you, at no cost or obligation on your part.

You owe it to yourself to consider counselling as a possible way forward for you. Contact an experienced, qualified counsellor today, and book yourself that initial consultation.
