2. Set realistic goals. This is a vital step to success. Most people fail because they try to do something they actually can’t. Your final goal is of course your ideal weight. But how long does it take you to get there?
In fact, you should aim for 2 pounds a week. It’s not to say you can’t lose more but that’s typical, and most importantly, realistic. Now you can easily calculate the time needed to achieve your goals.
Next, you have to acquire some motivation. There are a lot of ways to do it. For instance, you may take photographs of yourself periodically to check how long you have been going forward. Or you could find a friend that shares the same targets and work together.
