Each and every day as we are building our businesses, we all know the key to a successful presentation is a product being sold to the end-line consumer and/or sponsoring a new person. In an upcoming issue, I am going to write about the difference between making a sale and having customer loyalty in the sales process. In the sales process, you are fighting many different types of animals. For most of us who are in direct sales, you have 45 minutes to present a product/business concept and make a person believe in you, your product, and more importantly have them make a decision that they want what you are offering.

When you are introducing the company, it is extremely convenient for you to obtain pretty factual and then totally drop the desire of your prospect. At the time you tell a story concerning the achievement of an individual who’s using the merchandise or have a person give a real report about how significantly they like being a distributor, you’ll maintain the attention of new people that are listening for the first time.

For most people, the first time in our lives that people had been ever presented with the concept of a live viewers was back in kindergarten when we played “show and tell”. Every person has been usually thinking about what you have been saying since you were merely telling a tale. We have all heard of the well-known K.I.S.S. rule: Keep It Simple Stupid. When presenting your business or item, the true secret play would be to tell a tale and make it simple. Every person could relate to the grandmother, who is able to speak about their grandchild being the most wonderful, precious kid on the planet. She is going to make you really feel as if her grandchild will be such a product to own as your own. You have to take that same simplicity and then put it to use during your presentation and make exactly the same result — ownership of your merchandise.

As you tell stories, consumers can keep in mind those stories opposed to all the facts in the world. “FACTS TELL, BUT STORIES SELL. They should wish to get involved in your business or even buy your item because all the success stories that you told. Everyone loves to join in on a winning team. Storytelling keeps individuals tied into both you and your demonstration.

When I present, I ALWAYS tell many stories because when I was first introduced to direct sales, what perked my ears was a story of a young lady who had a lifestyle I wanted. The personal story of her lifestyle is what made me decide to get involved in the business. In that business, I went on to build an enormous organization and all I did was tell my story and tell the company’s story over and over!

Combining the key strategy of storytelling along with the correct mindset, you can achieve your wildest dreams!

A very small number of men and women in the UK today are enjoying job satisfaction. Of course, most will do nothing about it. The fact that you’ve got this far surely tells us that you’re considering or may be ready for a change.

On the subject of training, it’s important to first define what you DO want and DON’T want from the job you’d like to train for. You need to know that the grass actually is greener before your energies are focused on changing the direction of your life. Prudence suggests looking at the destination you’re hoping for, to avoid disappointment:

* Do you like working on your own or do you find company is an important option?

* Do you have a preference which market sector you choose to work in? (In this economy, it’s even more crucial to choose carefully.)

* Is it important that this should be the only time re-training is necessary?

* Do you feel uncomfortable about the chance of finding new employment, and being in demand in the employment market to the end of your working life?

We would advise you to find out more about the IT sector – there are a larger number of roles than staff to fill them, plus it’s one of the few choices of career where the sector is still growing. Despite what some people believe, IT isn’t all techie people lost in their PC’s all day long (some jobs are like that of course.) Most positions are filled by people like you and me who enjoy a very nice lifestyle due to better than average wages.

Let’s admit it: There really is no such thing as personal job security now; there’s only industry and business security – as any company can drop any single member of staff if it meets the business’ trade needs.

Security only exists now in a rapidly rising market, driven by a shortage of trained workers. These circumstances create just the right environment for a secure marketplace – a more attractive situation all round.

Reviewing the computer market, the recent e-Skills study brought to light a twenty six percent shortage in trained professionals. Accordingly, out of each 4 positions available in IT, organisations are only able to find properly accredited workers for 3 of the 4.

This one truth alone clearly demonstrates why the United Kingdom is in need of many more new trainees to get into the IT industry.

As the Information Technology market is evolving at the speed it is, it’s unlikely there’s any better sector worth considering for your new career.

Usually, trainers will provide a bunch of books and manuals. This isn’t very interesting and not ideal for achieving retention.

Where we can get all of our senses involved in our learning, then the results are usually dramatically better.

Start a study-program in which you’ll receive a library of CD or DVD ROM’s – you’ll start with videos of instructor demonstrations, followed by the chance to hone your abilities through virtual lab’s.

All companies should be able to show you a few examples of the materials provided for study. Expect video tutorials, instructor led classes and many interactive sections.

It’s folly to choose training that is only available online. Connection quality and reliability varies hugely across the ISP (internet service provider) market, ensure that you have access to CD or DVD ROM based materials.

Massive developments are flooding technology in the near future – and this means greater innovations all the time.

There are people who believe that the revolution in technology we’ve been going through is slowing down. Nothing could be further from the truth. Terrific advances are ahead of us, and the internet in particular is going to dominate how we conduct our lives.

And keep in mind that on average, the income of a person in the IT market over Britain as a whole is considerably greater than the national average salary, which means you will more than likely earn significantly more once qualified in IT, than you’d get in most other industries.

The good news is there’s no easing up for IT jobs development across Britain. The market sector continues to grow hugely, and with the skills shortage of over 26 percent that we’re experiencing, it’s most unlikely that there’ll be any kind of easing off for years to come.

Make sure you don’t get caught-up, like so many people do, on the certification itself. Training is not an end in itself; this is about employment. You need to remain focused on where you want to go.

Imagine training for just one year and then end up doing a job for a lifetime. Ensure you avoid the fatal error of choosing what sounds like an ‘interesting’ training program only to spend 20 years doing a job you don’t like!

Make sure you investigate how you feel about career progression and earning potential, and if you’re ambitious or not. You should understand what industry expects from you, what particular exams are needed and in what way you can develop commercial experience.

You’d also need help from someone that can explain the market you’ve chosen, and will be able to provide ‘A typical day in the life of’ synopsis for that career-path. These things are incredibly important because you obviously have to know if this change is right for you.
